Coming together in fellowship is an important aspect of our faith life at First Presbyterian Church, Oxford. Members and friends deepen the bonds of Christian friendship over good food, lots of laughter and making fun memories together. Join us for:
First Sunday Lunch: A congregational meal follows Sunday worship at least once a month, bringing people together to share a meal as visitors and friends are welcomed into this community of faith. Generally held on the first Sunday of the month, these meals are offered every month except July and December. In June, worshipers can enjoy lunch on the first four Sundays.
Wednesdays Together: On designated Wednesdays in the spring and fall, FPC gathers for an evening meal followed by programs for all ages. Supper is served at 5:45 pm followed by programs for children, youth and adults. Nursery care is provided for our youngest participants.
VIPs: FPC’s members and friends who are 55+ enjoy third Thursday Dutch treat dinners at local restaurants, progressive dinners, appetizer suppers, trips, service projects and other activities.
Mardi Gras Parade and Pancake Supper: FPC members join our neighbors from St. Peter’s Episcopal Church for a Mardi Gras parade around the Square followed by a pancake supper in Fellowship Hall.
Trunk or Treat: All ages enjoy the fun of Halloween by filling FPC’s parking lot with decorated trunks filled with goodies for the trick-or-treaters.
Christmas and Cocoa: Old and young alike share Christmas cheer by caroling throughout the community on the Double Decker buses.
Men’s Softball: FPC’s Men’s Softball is a church family affair as the men play ball and members of all ages cheer for them from the bleachers.
These are just some of the opportunities for fun and fellowship at FPC! Be sure to check the newsletters and Sunday bulletins for news of other events as they occur and contact the church office for more details.
