At First Presbyterian Church of Oxford, we believe that the journey of faith begins in the nursery and continues for a lifetime. The goal of the Children’s ministry is to work with all aspects of the church to help children have the confidence that they are loved and known by God and the community and to equip parents to do the same at home.
The Children’s Sunday School program meets in the upstairs of the Education Building each Sunday morning from 9:45am to 10:45am for teaching on the lectionary text and fun with our wonderful team of volunteers. Classes for children in PreK 4 through 5th grade are provided.
Our nursery at First Presbyterian is offered on Sunday mornings during from 8:45am to 12pm (after the last worship service). Children aged 6 weeks to 3 years are welcome to join Ms. Wendy and her staff in the downstairs of the Education Building. All nursery workers are thoroughly background checked.
Children are an integral part of our life here at First Presbyterian Church, Oxford. From participating in worship, to bringing joy through their laughter at Sunday school, to being the energy that propels us as they race around our playground, children are the lifeblood here at First Presbyterian Church of Oxford.
